Facilities: Full-Motion Simulators, Guest Area, and Experience
The heart of the ADAC Nordbayern SimRacing-Center consists of six Actoracer Ultimate Full-Motion simulators from the manufacturer STL. These platforms are designed to dynamically represent the movements of a racing car during acceleration and cornering phases, as well as during braking. In combination with precise power transmission at the steering system, a credible overall impression is created that makes driving performance directly experienceable. Especially in competition against other guests or while building rhythm and consistency in training laps, the strength of such systems becomes apparent: they provide feedback needed for a clean driving style, reliable braking points, and maximum cornering speed. In addition to the technology, the spatial design is oriented towards a shared experience. The center covers about 200 square meters and offers seating for spectators in the racing area. This way, you can bring friends or colleagues to watch sessions, compare times, and discuss team tactics. The attached guest area – the pit stop – offers hot drinks, non-alcoholic cold drinks, and a changing snack offer. A short break is possible between two sessions without having to leave the place. The team on-site assists with the initial setup, provides introductions to controls, driving aids, and sensible training processes, and adjusts the conditions to the experience level. Beginners benefit from activated aids that make the first laps accessible and provide quick success experiences; advanced users reduce aids, refine braking points and line choices, and use longer stints to build consistency. Since six simulators are operated simultaneously, small races, hotlap challenges, or team formats can be implemented directly. For corporate events, club evenings, or birthdays, operations can be bundled within the framework of exclusive rentals, allowing fixed time slots and tournament trees to be planned. The center is barrier-free accessible, the entrance is on the ground level, and there are accessible restrooms available. Those who want to get a visual impression in advance can find a section with impressions on the website. To ensure that planning and processes run smoothly, the current opening hours, contact details, and booking options are centrally compiled online.
Opening Hours, Rules, and Requirements for Driving
To ensure that all visitors have a safe and pleasant experience, clear framework conditions apply at the ADAC Nordbayern SimRacing-Center. The regular opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 14:30 to 22:00 and on Sundays and public holidays from 13:00 to 20:30. Mondays and Tuesdays are rest days. Different regulations may apply on certain quiet public holidays; therefore, a quick look at the contact page or booking system is advisable before arriving. Regardless of the chosen driving time, the glove requirement must be observed. Gloves ensure hygiene, consistent grip, and protect the equipment – those who do not bring their own can purchase or rent them on-site. For safety reasons, the use of simulators is only permitted from the age of 14 and a minimum height of 1.50 m. The maximum body weight is 130 kg. Young people under 18 may only drive when accompanied by a legal guardian. Use under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or certain medications that impair driving ability is not permitted. By booking, the terms and conditions are accepted, and a usage agreement is concluded; this can be filled out in advance or signed on-site. It is advisable to arrive a few minutes before the booked time to calmly complete the briefing and seating position. After a grace period, free simulators will be reallocated to keep operations manageable for everyone. Payment is flexible: in addition to online payment via the website, cash and card payments are possible on-site. Those driving in pairs or groups should plan sufficient time for crew changes, short breaks, and time evaluations depending on the package. For companies or clubs planning their own racing evenings, the team offers support with modes, heat plans, and scoring. This creates a structured process that leads from familiarization with the track through qualifying to the race, ensuring fairness for all participants.
Photos, Impressions, and Reviews
A good picture of the experience is provided by the impressions section on the official website of the center. There, you can see the Actoracer Ultimate Full-Motion simulators in action, the spatial arrangement in the racing area, and the adjacent pit stop. Especially for groups, it is helpful to see how six simulators are operated simultaneously and how spectators can position themselves to follow the races. Those interested in the technical implementation can find additional information on the ADAC Nordbayern pages about why full-motion systems actively simulate movements of acceleration, braking, and cornering, and what role steering forces, resistances, and road irregularities play for the feeling at the limit. Additionally, the center's FAQ provides many concrete answers from practice: from the minimum age to the glove requirement to the question of whether one can also just come to watch – which is explicitly encouraged. Accordingly, small hotlap duels or races, where friend circles and teams cheer each other on, are particularly popular. Those looking for feedback can find numerous positive reviews online from guests who particularly highlight the friendly reception, understandable briefing, and the coherent overall package of technology, atmosphere, and support. These voices align with the concept communicated by the operator: a meeting point where both curious newcomers and experienced sim racers find enjoyment with coaching and sensibly set driving aids. The center is also suitable for family visits due to the observation opportunities and snack offerings. For companies or clubs wishing to share impressions internally, it is worthwhile to take photos on-site – the premises are designed so that team photos in front of the simulators or in the pit stop work well. To ensure a smooth visit, early online reservation is recommended, especially if image and video recordings are planned and all six simulators are to be used simultaneously.

ADAC Nordbayern Motorsport & eSports Events
The SimRacing-Center in Weiden is embedded in a broader commitment by ADAC Nordbayern to virtual motorsport. The regional club positions sim racing as an accessible, comparatively cost-effective, and emissions-free complement to real motorsport. In Weiden, the first ADAC SimRacing-Center in Bavaria was established; it serves as a fixed point of contact for individual visits, groups, and corporate clients. In parallel, ADAC Nordbayern organizes its own sim racing formats that can be driven from home. Since 2023, several seasons of the ADAC Nordbayern SimRacing Experience have been implemented. For the most recent winter series, different simulations were used depending on the season – with clear regulations, fixed schedules, and commented live streams. Starting in January 2026, the winter season has started again, this time with the simulation Le Mans Ultimate; racing will take place in classes such as Hypercars and LMGT3. Such series demonstrate how professionally the environment is now set up – from training to qualifying to the race, which takes place according to fixed slots. Events and special promotions also take place in Weiden itself, making the center a lively meeting point. Press announcements from recent months mention, for example, open house days with hotlap challenges and voucher prizes. For companies, clubs, and teams, this structure opens up opportunities to conduct internal championships or customer events. The ability to use all six simulators simultaneously makes it easier to implement your own formats with time trials, heats, and finals. Additionally, short networking breaks can be incorporated into the guest area. Those seeking advice on the technical initial equipment for home can rely on the expertise of the Weiden team; on-site information on steering wheels, wheel bases, or pedals is available. Thus, the center marks a hub where community, event operations, and consulting converge. Interested parties should take a look at the ADAC event calendar and center news to discover racing series, special events, or seasonal promotions early on. In summary: The ADAC Nordbayern SimRacing-Center in Weiden combines state-of-the-art full-motion hardware with a visitor-friendly environment, clear booking processes, and the strong infrastructure of a large mobility club – ideal conditions for training, team events, and unforgettable racing experiences.

I was looking for a place in Bavaria where you can drive on a professional simulator on a virtual racetrack. Despite SimRacing now being an official motorsport category in the DMSB and even professional racers practicing on simulators or running their own SimRacing teams, there isn’t a large offering of high-quality simulators that you can book as a private individual. So, the search online was quite limited. Among a few competitors, the ADAC Nordbayern SimRacing Center in Weiden particularly caught my eye. With a very appealing website and excellent reviews, I quickly decided to head to Weiden. Upon entering the center, I was warmly welcomed and well-informed about what is sensible or recommended for booking. I already had in mind that I definitely wanted to drive on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. After a brief consultation, I decided to spend the first 30 minutes on the GP track in Spa in a GT3 Porsche to get used to the simulator. It is equipped with actuators at the four corners that allow movements in all directions, so effects like braking, accelerating, lateral forces, bumps, curbs, and gear shifts are very realistically simulated. The steering wheel also provides force feedback, and the forces during longer drives in the simulator should not be underestimated. Additionally, the brakes are particularly close to reality and require strong pressure, especially when braking from high speeds, which allows for excellent feedback and modulation. The whole experience is visualized with three large monitors, giving a wide field of view ahead and to both sides. After my 30 minutes on the track in Spa, I completed another 30 minutes on the Nordschleife. That was a very special experience and was incredibly fun (I wanted more). The simulation is run with Assetto Corsa, which offers a variety of tracks and cars in various categories. The price for an hour on the simulator is 59 EUR, which I find absolutely fair and justified for the service provided and the professional support from the team. It’s worth mentioning that you have to wear racing gloves. You can bring your own or, as in my case, rent them for a fee of 4 EUR. The trip to Weiden was more than worth it for me, and I can highly recommend the ADAC Nordbayern SimRacing Center.

We came all the way from Nuremberg for this, and we were not disappointed. First, we beginners were recommended the suitable racetrack and a selection of cars, then there was a patient introduction at the simulator, and the appropriate driving aids were set up. Then it was off to the races, and it was really great! Incredibly realistic and so much fun. With the huge selection of tracks and vehicles and the extremely many settings available for both pros and beginners, it’s just perfect. You really don’t want to get out anymore. So it’s better to book an hour than a shorter time. It’s really worth it!

We specifically drove from Würzburg to Weiden as a group of four, and it was worth it. Great staff, excellent briefing, and they handled any issues in a solution-oriented manner. We will definitely come again. Keep it up!
