Innovision Center | Wedding & Christmas Market Weiherhammer
The Innovision Center in Weiherhammer near Weiden in the Upper Palatinate is an extraordinary event location that combines architecture, nature, and state-of-the-art event technology in a special atmosphere. The centerpiece of the facility is a courtyard with approximately 500 square meters of space, surrounded by pavilions and topped with a technically unique umbrella roof. This roof, about 400 square meters in size, can be fully opened in good weather and lowered into an underground steel structure, allowing events to take place outdoors directly by the Hammersee. Thanks to glass walls that can close the courtyard when needed and an integrated underfloor heating system, events can be held regardless of the weather. The site is located on the premises of BHS Corrugated on the banks of the Hammerweiher and benefits from its quiet location on the edge of a nature reserve. Whether for weddings, trade fairs, concerts, or corporate galas, the location is designed for flexible use and offers capacities of up to 300 seated guests depending on the seating arrangement; without seating, significantly larger formats are also possible. For weddings, a maximum of 280 people is planned. Access is conveniently possible via several highways, and parking on the premises is allowed with prior registration at the gate. Those looking for a place that combines technology and emotion will find here a stage, a video wall, sound and lighting technology, as well as various pavilion rooms for workshops, get-togethers, and backstage areas.
Wedding at the Innovision Center in Weiherhammer
When the big day arrives, the Innovision Center combines natural idyll by the Hammersee with an event setup that ensures smooth processes. The integrated wedding arrangement includes rooms in the courtyard as well as the necessary basic technology such as stage, video wall, podium, microphones, and sound system. A support person is on-site until midnight, so questions regarding the process, technology, or coordination can be quickly clarified. The equipment includes tables, chairs, table linens, and a dance floor, which has proven particularly effective on the cobblestones of the courtyard. Drinks are provided with coffee, water, soft drinks, juices, and beer. The maximum number of guests for weddings is 280 and is based on the ideal furnishing of the courtyard. A special feature is the umbrella show, where the umbrella roof is opened. It is included in the booking and creates an emotional moment in the evening when the sky becomes visible and the location transitions to an open-air setting. Those planning a civil ceremony can hold it at the pier or shore of the Hammersee, allowing the ceremony and celebration to seamlessly transition. The location is not designed for cakes that require refrigeration, so timely delivery for presentation is recommended. Additionally, there is no air conditioning installed in the main room of the courtyard, which should be considered when planning during the summer months. At the same time, the closable glass surfaces and underfloor heating ensure pleasant conditions during transitional periods and in winter, making winter weddings feasible as well. Proximity and service are highly valued on-site: The team is available from consultation to viewing to execution, and thanks to partners from the region, such as for cocktail bars or travel and logistics questions, individual wishes can be accommodated. For overnight stays, the neighboring Hotel Witt am See is recommended, providing short distances for the bride and groom and guests. Those planning early can check the booking calendar to see when the location is already reserved and secure their desired date. Overall, the Innovision Center impresses wedding couples looking for an atmospheric backdrop with lake access, reliable technical infrastructure, and flexible design options between a covered courtyard and starry sky.
Access and Parking at the BHS Site
The location of the Innovision Center on the BHS Corrugated factory premises at Paul-Engel-Straße 1 in 92729 Weiherhammer is easily accessible from both Regensburg and Hof. Those traveling via the A93 should take the exit Weiden-Frauenricht from Hof, follow the state road 2166 towards Mantel until the turnoff to Trippach, and continue past the Hotel Lohbachwinkel towards BHS. From there, the route automatically leads to Paul-Engel-Straße, where the entrance to the BHS site is located. Coming from Regensburg, the Luhe-Wildenau or Weiherhammer exit is recommended; after the railway underpass, follow the bending priority road to the right into Paul-Engel-Straße, with the Innovision Center site on the left. Those coming via the A6 should take the exit Amberg-West, head towards Amberg, and then go through Hirschau and Kohlberg to Weiherhammer; from there, signs lead to the company premises. Parking is allowed on the premises for guests, provided they register at the gate. This is especially helpful for larger events, as the paths from the parking lot to the courtyard are short, and material deliveries for service providers, such as catering or technology, can be efficiently managed. The location by the Hammersee ensures a sheltered environment without through traffic despite good accessibility; the pavilions are arranged around the courtyard and open up to the lake and the adjacent nature reserve. Accessible sanitary facilities are available for guests with mobility impairments, reachable through the glass foyer. In practice, it has proven effective to place the reception directly at the entrance to the courtyard to welcome arriving guests in a calm atmosphere and guide them to pavilions, seating areas, or the stage. Those arriving by train can reach the regional train stations in Weiden or surrounding areas and then continue by taxi or shuttle to Weiherhammer. Thanks to the clear path guidance on the BHS site, the signage on-site is self-explanatory. For organizers, it is advisable to include information about registration at the gate in the invitation and to attach a small access sheet with the three highway options or a QR route guide. This way, guests arrive stress-free and on time and seamlessly integrate into the event's schedule.
Christmas Market and Public Events at Hammersee
The Innovision Center hosts public events throughout the year, particularly benefiting from the combination of technology and nature. A recurring highlight is the atmospheric Christmas market, which attracts visitors to the site during the Advent season. On December 12, 2025, a Christmas market under the motto Enjoyment and Sound took place, followed by a X-Mas Special concert. The stalls opened at 5 PM, and the concert from 7 to 9 PM featured soul, funk, and jazz in a festive setting. The combination of culinary offerings, handmade gift ideas, and live music exemplified the versatility of the space. With the umbrella roof that can be opened, an open-air experience is created in suitable weather, while in cooler weather, the courtyard can be closed and heated with glass walls. In addition to the Christmas market, concerts are part of the annual program; in the past, artists such as Silbermond, Markus Engelstaedter, and Andrea Marie with Big Party Orchestra have performed at the location. Trade fairs and themed days are also firmly established. For March 6, 2026, Love and Connect is announced as a modern wedding fair, designed as an evening format from 6 PM to 10 PM with selected service providers, trend islands, and space for personal conversations. Such events demonstrate that the location is suitable for both large public formats and curated, intimate experiences. Visitors should check the current dates in advance; the Innovision Center communicates event updates on its website and through social media. Tickets are offered through regional ticket partners depending on the event; for the Christmas market 2025, for example, the admission for the concert was in the low double-digit range, and children under seven years had free entry. The proximity to Weiden also facilitates the integration of regional cultural programs. Those planning as organizers can use the stage and video wall for program flows, sponsor presentations, or hybrid formats and create atmosphere depending on the weather with the umbrella roof, such as for the opening with the umbrella or for final moments under the open sky.
Pavilions, Technology, and Capacities at a Glance
The spatial structure of the Innovision Center is designed for maximum flexibility. Several pavilions in timber frame construction are arranged around the central atrium, serving as training and conference rooms. Seven of the pavilions each have about 66 square meters of total area with a main room of about 53 square meters and an anteroom, designed for up to 15 people. Standard equipment includes flat screens, Click-Share, pin boards, flip charts, moderator cases, and other conference technology. The Orpheus pavilion can be opened and expanded to accommodate up to 60 people and is air-conditioned, making it ideal for workshops or breakout sessions on hot days. The facility is complemented by an administration pavilion, a catering house, and a separate restroom building; the paths lead through a permanently glazed foyer, ensuring that all areas are accessible and protected. The central courtyard can accommodate up to 300 people depending on the seating arrangement; without seating, formats of up to 1000 participants are possible. This makes the space suitable for gala dinners, balls, in-house fairs, get-togethers, or product presentations. The stage in the courtyard can be used for speeches, concerts, and performances; in conjunction with the video wall, highlights, program information, or visual presentations can be experienced on a large scale. Historically, the roof structure is a special feature: a shaft structure about 20 meters deep was created for the umbrella, in which a cable-operated steel structure enables movement; the relaxation drilling extends to about 28.5 meters. The umbrella is considered unique in Germany, possibly beyond, and provides an unobstructed view of the sky when opened while forming a weather-protected courtyard when closed. Paths and piers along the lakeshore invite you to linger; during breaks or for photo shoots, picturesque perspectives overlooking the water and the adjacent nature reserve are available. For multiple-use room concepts, the pavilions can be used as speaker lounges, children's areas, cloakrooms, or meeting rooms. The combination of courtyard, pavilions, and lake access allows for dramatic sequences, such as reception in the foyer, ceremony at the pier, dinner in the courtyard, and party under the stars. Organizers should consider that there is no air conditioning in the main room of the courtyard, but the room remains very manageable through wind protection and heating systems. A kitchen is available for preparation; it is not equipped with an oven, so warm components should be provided by partner catering. The on-site team assists in selecting regional service providers, including mobile cocktail bars, travel and transfer services, and decoration suppliers.
Photos, Impressions, and Reviews
The location thrives on images, and accordingly, the Innovision Center generously presents its impressions. The gallery features motifs from the categories weddings, trade fairs, concerts, corporate events, balls, and general impressions. The imagery showcases the range of use: romantic sunsets at the Hammersee, table arrangements in the covered courtyard, concert stages with audiences, winter Christmas market scenes, and detailed decorations. For brides and grooms, the pier by the lake is a preferred spot for first-look or couple photos, while the courtyard with the umbrella opening impressively stages the transition from dinner to party. Positive feedback from guests and organizers often highlights the special atmosphere, professional support, and flexibility of the team. The fact that the location is situated on a company premises is perceived as an advantage, as it is shielded from everyday traffic yet easily accessible. Those needing a selection of images for preparation can find diverse material on social networks in addition to the website; especially before trade fairs and public concerts, current impressions are shared. For planning, it is advisable to create a short photo board during the site visit: perspectives by the lake, positions for the ceremony, sight lines to the stage, lighting moods during the umbrella opening, and possible rain alternatives with closed glass walls. This way, motifs can be coordinated early with service providers such as photographers, videographers, and decoration teams. Testimonials also emphasize that the price-performance ratio for weddings and corporate events is perceived as fair, especially when considering the included support and basic technical equipment. A useful tip from practice concerns the dance floor: due to the cobblestones, the provided dance floor is recommended to ensure that shoes and technology behave safely and the party remains relaxed into the night. Overall, impressions and reviews convey a coherent picture: a versatile, lovingly maintained location with striking architecture, lake access, and a team that implements even last-minute wishes in a solution-oriented manner.
Tickets, Booking, and Contact
For public events such as concerts, markets, or trade fairs, the Innovision Center communicates dates and key details through its website and social media. For the Christmas market with concert in December 2025, for example, times, program points, and ticket information were published in advance; admission for the concert was in the low double-digit range, and children under seven years entered for free. For upcoming formats, such as the wedding fair Love and Connect on March 6, 2026, from 6 PM to 10 PM, details about exhibitors, program, and schedule will be provided in a timely manner. Those planning a private celebration, conference, or corporate event can check the booking calendar to see if the desired date is already reserved and send a direct inquiry. In the next step, capacities, technology, catering, and schedule will be coordinated together. The capacities are clearly defined: the courtyard offers up to 300 seats depending on the seating arrangement; without seating, formats for up to 1000 people are possible. For weddings, a maximum number of 280 guests applies. If needed, pavilions are available as retreat areas, cloakrooms, or workshops; the Orpheus pavilion accommodates groups of up to 60 people in an air-conditioned environment. Parking is possible with prior registration at the gate directly at the training center, which facilitates logistics. For deliveries, a coordinated slot planning is recommended to ensure that the stage, video wall, sound, and lighting technology can be set up without overlaps. Since there is no air conditioning in the main room of the courtyard, planning should particularly consider ventilation phases and later umbrella opening on hot days; in the cooler months, glass walls and underfloor heating ensure pleasant temperatures. For cakes, there is no possibility for pre-cooling the day before, so timing should be coordinated accordingly. The neighboring Hotel Witt am See is recommended as an overnight option. For questions, several contact persons with phone numbers and email addresses are available; in addition to the central email address of the Innovision Center, the responsible persons for events and entertainment as well as the team of the travel agency FivePoint Services assist with organization. Those wishing to celebrate outdoors should focus on the moment of the umbrella show: the roof opening act is included in the booking price and can be dramaturgically planned as a highlight, for example, at the start of the party, as a surprise after dinner, or as the finale of an award ceremony. This transforms a well-organized event into an unforgettable experience.

We celebrated our wedding at the Innovision Center, and this location is truly unique. Not only is the outdoor area with the adjacent pond beautiful, but the highlight is definitely the roof that allows for celebrations under the open sky. From the first contact to the end, we were excellently taken care of by Mr. Klusak, the communication went smoothly, and thanks to the flexibility, we could tailor our wedding celebration to our wishes. We would celebrate our wedding there again anytime.
