Weidener Thermenwelt | Opening Hours & Prices

Opening Hours of Weidener Thermenwelt and Sauna
The official opening hours are designed so that a visit can be well planned both during the week and on weekends. The bathing world is closed on Mondays, open from Tuesday to Friday between 1 PM and 9 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 9 PM. For the sauna, the hours are Tuesday to Friday from 1 PM to 10 PM and Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays from 11 AM to 10 PM. In the bathing area, entry ends from Tuesday to Sunday at 8:15 PM, and swimming ends at 8:45 PM. This makes the Thermenwelt very suitable for late afternoons, a long evening after work, or a relaxed weekend visit. On public holidays, during school vacations, and on certain special days, different regulations may apply, so it's always worth checking the official site before starting. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/en/opening-times))
The ladies' sauna is particularly popular: On Wednesdays, the sauna world is organized as a Ladies' Sauna, except on public holidays; otherwise, it is mixed. If you are planning a special sauna day, you should also keep an eye on the XXL sauna nights, where textile-free bathing in the thermal baths and half-hour infusions are announced. Such events give the visit an event-like character and make the Thermenwelt interesting for regular guests who want to experience not only swimming but also targeted infusions, relaxation phases, and special sauna evenings. For planning, it is especially important that the opening hours of the swimming area and the sauna world are not identical, and you can arrange your stay early, in the afternoon, or in the evening depending on your goal. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/en/opening-times))
Prices, Entrance, and Tickets
In terms of entrance prices, the Weidener Thermenwelt relies on time models with clear tiers. Adults pay 4 euros for one hour, 8 euros for two hours, 13 euros for four hours, and 15 euros for the day ticket in the bathing world. In the bathing and sauna world, the rates are 18 euros for two hours, 23 euros for four hours, and 25 euros for the day ticket. There are cheaper prices for children and teenagers: Entry costs 3 euros for children aged 2 to 5 years, and for those aged 6 to 15 years, it is 2 euros for one hour, 4 euros for two hours, 6 euros for four hours, and 7.50 euros for the day ticket. Additionally, there is an after-work rate from 6 PM, which is particularly attractive for working people. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/informationen/preise))
The price structure is also understandable for families: From the second own child aged 6 to 15 years, a reduced entrance fee of 3 euros per child is charged for the bathing world, while children under two years accompanied by an adult enter for free. Birthday children between 6 and 15 years receive free entry on their special day if they bring an ID. Online tickets can be reserved in the webshop, and vouchers can also be conveniently purchased there. This is not only practical for the next visit but also a neat solution for gifts, family outings, and spontaneous wellness appointments, as you often save the trip to the cash register in advance. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/informationen/preise))
Those who stay longer or visit the Thermenwelt more often will find additional pricing components: There are special rates for families, groups, and people with disabilities, as well as a discount card with bronze, silver, gold, and platinum levels. In addition, the price list also shows rental and usage fees, such as for swimwear, towels, sauna towels, aqua jogging belts, and RV parking. This transparency helps to plan a visit very precisely, as it is already clear before arrival which services are charged separately and which combination of bathing world, sauna, and additional offers best fits your budget. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/informationen/preise))
Sauna, Infusions, and Ladies' Sauna
The sauna area of the Weidener Thermenwelt is strongly focused on diversity. Inside, there is a Finnish sauna with 85 to 95 degrees, a bio sauna with 55 to 65 degrees, an eucalyptus sauna with 65 to 75 degrees, and the Weiden sauna with 90 to 100 degrees. The Weiden sauna is a distinctive detail, as it bears the name of the city, features a picture of Weiden inside, and accommodates about 55 people who can warm up together during infusions. This creates an area that not only allows for classic sweating but is also suitable for special sauna formats and communal moments. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/?utm_source=openai))
The outdoor area offers an even broader range. There, you will find a birch sauna with 95 to 105 degrees, a herb sauna with 55 to 65 degrees, a hay sauna with 75 to 85 degrees, and a root sauna with 85 to 95 degrees. The herb sauna is described with infusions in a copper kettle and herb panels, while the birch sauna focuses on the Finnish style and a spicy birch aroma. Additionally, there are regular infusions and infusions that structure the sauna experience and make the visit interesting even for experienced sauna guests. For those who understand sauna not just as heat but as a ritual, there is a surprisingly large selection of atmospheres, temperatures, and scents. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/))
Equally important as sweating is the proper cooling down. The Weidener Thermenwelt offers a steam bath with 42 to 45 degrees and high humidity, a brine inhalation room with salty air, a foot pool, ice for refreshment, a cool outdoor pool in the sauna area with at least 19 degrees, and a shower effect with a cascade or bucket. The snail house also stands out as a relaxation spot: The snail-shaped room in the sauna garden features a waterfall, birch trunks, and 25 loungers as well as hanging chairs and hanging loungers. This transforms the sauna into a complete relaxation cycle of warmth, cooling, and rest. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/en/water/recreation))
Directions, Parking, and RV Parking
Getting to the Weidener Thermenwelt is easy even without local knowledge. The city bus reaches the Thermenwelt via lines 1, 16, and 91; you get off at the Salzbrücke/WTW stop on Hammerweg, and from there it is just a few meters to the entrance. If you are coming by car, you can drive from the north via the A 93, exit Neustadt/Altenstadt WN, then take the B22 towards Weiden, or from the south via the A 93, exit Weiden West, towards the city center. The address Raiffeisenstraße 7 is conveniently located and can be easily accessed by day visitors as well as for longer stays. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/informationen/anfahrt))
On-site, there are 3 disabled parking spaces in front of the Thermenwelt, 150 parking spaces in front of the building, and 250 additional parking spaces behind the Thermenwelt. Additionally, there are 67 covered and 20 partially covered bicycle parking spaces as well as 6 RV parking spaces behind the house. This is a real advantage, as the arrival is well prepared not only for drivers but also for cyclists and campers. If you are planning a longer wellness or family day, you can arrive without complicated parking searches and start your stay much more relaxed. For a leisure location, this practical accessibility is often an important part of the overall impression. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/informationen/anfahrt))
Orientation is also easy to follow: The Thermenwelt is located in Weiden in the Oberpfalz, is clearly signposted, and can be well prepared on the official website with route and directions information. If you arrive by RV, you will not only find parking spaces but also the appropriate pricing information in the webshop, providing a clear basis for daily planning. For guests from the region, this is particularly pleasant, as a spontaneous visit can be just as easily implemented as a whole wellness day with family, sauna, and bistro. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/informationen/anfahrt))
Bathing World, Slide, and Family Offers
The bathing world is clearly the part of the facility that combines action and family comfort. Among the main attractions are a 107-meter-long giant tunnel with a water slide, a whitewater canal, a seven-meter-high climbing wall next to the diving pool, a sports pool, a diving board or diving platform, as well as geysers and underwater loungers. This mix makes the facility interesting for children, teenagers, and active adults, while still providing enough space for swimming and relaxing. If you are looking for a thermal world where not only peace but also movement plays a role, you will find a very balanced setup here. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/en/water/fun-in-the-pool?utm_source=openai))
For younger guests, there is a children's fun pool with around 65 square meters, a small children's pool with water at 32 degrees, and other playful elements such as slides, boats, waterfalls, and water figures. According to the official description, the children's world is particularly attractive for three to nine-year-olds, but older children also find enough challenge in the whitewater area and on the big slide. Additionally, there is the Birthday Island, which serves as a reservable area for children's and teenagers' birthdays, turning a visit into a real experience. This makes the Thermenwelt not only a destination but also a solid address for family celebrations with a water focus. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/en/time-for-family))
Another plus point is the connection between the indoor and outdoor areas. The water world can be expanded from inside to outside, and in summer or good weather, additional garden and lounging areas are added. On the family page of the website, the Thermenwelt is explicitly described as a destination for young and old, from small children to grandparents. This is relevant for keyword searches for weather, photos, and family outings, as a clear picture emerges even before the visit: The facility works just as well in sunshine as on rainy days, and it offers enough variety so that a stay does not become monotonous. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/en/water?utm_source=openai))
Wellness, Bistro, Photos, and Planning Before the Visit
In addition to bathing and sauna, the Weidener Thermenwelt offers many wellness details that round off the stay. Particularly noticeable are the steam bath, the brine inhalation room with salty air, the sauna garden with nearly 1,000 square meters of space, and the outdoor lounging areas. This makes the place interesting for people who are looking for water and warmth but do not want to be active all day. Especially the brine inhalation room and the quiet areas ensure that the visit is not only defined by pools and infusions but also by breaks, breathing space, and noticeable deceleration. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/en/water/recreation))
For refreshments, there is a bistro with snacks, ice cream, hot meals, and drinks. The opening hours are Monday to Friday from 1:45 PM to 8 PM and on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and during school vacations from 11:45 AM to 8 PM. This is helpful for families and sauna guests alike, as a visit can be easily organized as a half-day or full-day program. If you get hungry after swimming or after several sauna sessions, you do not have to leave the house but can round off the day directly on-site. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/informationen/gastronomie))
If you want to get an impression in advance, you will find a 360° panoramic tour and a map of all important areas from the entrance to the pools to the saunas on the website. Additionally, vouchers can be purchased and online tickets reserved in the shop, making preparation much easier. This is particularly valuable for inquiries about photos, vouchers, and tickets, as the Thermenwelt not only convinces on-site but also presents itself transparently digitally. By planning your visit well, you can already determine which area fits best for your day before you set off. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/en/time-for-family))
Especially practical is that the facility can be read differently depending on the target group: Those seeking peace plan sauna, brine inhalation room, steam bath, and relaxation areas; those wanting variety combine slides, children's pools, climbing walls, and bistro; and those needing a complete outing utilize the parking spaces, bus connections, voucher function, and information on opening hours to organize the day without surprises. This combination makes the Thermenwelt a location that you do not just visit once but can reuse for various occasions. ([weidener-thermenwelt.de](https://weidener-thermenwelt.de/en/opening-times))

Extremely rude staff interaction. Asked a simple question if I could retrieve my teenage daughter quickly and they were rude and berated me because I didn’t have swimsuit visible. I explained I was going in and out because her phone was not with her. I said I would pay the entry fee of course. Beware of this place- both ladies working the front were extremely rude. I will never be back.

It would be a decent pool if only they would have more reasonable opening hours. The thermal area is pleasant, the swimming area is most of the day very accessible and not crowded, the sauna world is very relaxing. The employees are helpful and nice. Now with the downside: I was thinking that 11 was a late time to open, but with a little bit of struggle I was able to make it work. Now I find out that they will even postpone the entry at 13. That’s a weird choice, especially considering that a big part of the clients are elderly people and parents with toddlers who I’m sure would prefer to have access to the building in the morning (the first ones because they generally have spare time since early morning, the others because they can entertain the children who weren’t lucky enough to have a kindergarten spot assigned). Therefore, I will have to drive to Amberg from now on, where the opening hours are 9-21 and the daily entry ticket for the sauna is currently 10€ since they apply a discount for the trouble of Baustelle. I would happily pay the 25€ in Weiden, but unfortunately this opening hours are completely incompatible with my job and family needs.

We absolutely love this place! It is so clean and a fantastic family environment. The cashiers speak a little english if you need help with anything. Very friendly. The food at the restaurant is very good, currywurst is our favorite. This is by far the best pool in the area!

The swimming pool is good, but other areas are too crowded on weekends.
