Lorenzo Petrocca Organ Trio brings stylish jazz to Weiden
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Bistrot Paris in Weiden will transform into an atmospheric meeting point for jazz lovers. The Lorenzo Petrocca Organ Trio combines virtuosic guitar lines, warm organ sounds, and dynamic drumming for an evening concert between mainstream, bebop, and bossa nova.
European jazz with international quality
The Italian guitarist Lorenzo Petrocca, who resides in Stuttgart, is considered one of the most sought-after European jazz musicians. As a sideman, he has worked with Monty Alexander, Herb Ellis, Ack van Rooyen, and Scott Hamilton. As a bandleader, he has already released 17 CDs with his own groups. His current album is nominated for the German Record Critics' Award.
Tradition meets Italian tones
With his Organ Trio, Petrocca connects to the legendary lineup of Wes Montgomery, Melvin Rhyne, and Jimmy Smith. The program features well-known numbers from the Great American Songbook, complemented by sophisticated original compositions and exciting arrangements of Italian songs.
The formation with Lorenzo Petrocca on guitar, Thomas Bauser on organ, and Lars Binder on drums stands for a highly aesthetic, cool, and simultaneously energetic sound. Between swinging standards, grooving bossa nova, and melodic moments, a versatile event atmosphere is created, allowing space for improvisation and musical surprises.
